Don't get me wrong. Usually I don't pay any attention to Dancing With The Stars. Although it's harmless enough.
What caught my eye when this fall's contestants were announced was that 82-year-old Cloris Leachman was among them. Last night, I happened to catch an episode of Mary Tyler Moore that featured her prominently, and then an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents from 1955 that featured her when she was 29.
All I have to say is - DAMN. She's been in the business for 60-plus years, she's got four movies coming out in the next year (including the Meg Ryan starrer The Women) and now she's on one of TV's most popular reality shows - and the most physically strenuous one, at that.
Phyllis would be proud.
