NBR Kicks Off Oscar Season

The National Board of Review announced the best of 2009 winners today, the first of the season. Jason Reitman's Up in the Air, starring George Clooney, nabbed Best Picture, Best Actor (Clooney tied with Morgan Freeman for Invictus) and Best Supporting Actress (Anna Kendrick).

Unlike most critics awards, the NBR also includes the top ten films of the year and a handful of other awards.
