I really don't know why 'Inglorious Basterds'was nominated for so many awards. I was mildly entertained, but I would never consider it Oscar-worthy. Perhaps they ran out of good movies to nominate... I am also a little disgusted that 'District 9' was nominated for best picture. What?! I do, however, love Sandra B., so I will have to disagree with you on her nomination :)
I still haven't seen 'Inglourious Basterds' (shameful, I know) so I don't know what I'll think. I just feel like opening the field to ten movies was a bad idea. You're libel to get some stinkers in there. This year, at least, it's clear from the best director nominees which five movies would have made the cut.
